Maude has been a home base for great hair in Herndon, Virginia for over two decades. We're a boutique salon built on craft, thoughtful consultation, and the kind of relationship where your stylist actually knows your hair. The team here is a real community — stylists who collaborate, grow together, and genuinely care about the work they do and the people sitting in their chairs.

  • Booking

    Our online booking is for returning guests only. If this is your first time at Maude, you're in the right place. Everything you need to get started is right on this page.


    When booking your first appointment at Maude, our front desk will guide you through the process and get you set up. You’ll need to have your credit card handy when you call— all appointments require one on file, as part of our 48-hour cancellation policy.

  • Parking

    We're in Old Town Herndon with plenty of free parking nearby. Two-hour spaces are right across from the salon, along Lynn Street, and in the Municipal Lot at Station and Pine. For longer appointments, head to the Municipal Lot near Elden and Station. Note that the 2-hour limit is enforced Monday through Saturday from 9am to 5pm.

  • Gratuity

    Tipping is always at your discretion, but if you'd like to show some love, our stylists and assistants accept tips as cash or through Venmo. You can find everyone's Venmo usernames on the Meet the Squad page.

    No tips are able to be added to credit cards. We apologize for any inconvenience.

    We do have an ATM in the Maude lobby, which charges a $2.50 convenience fee for cash withdrawals.

New Color Guests

Getting your color right starts before you even sit in the chair. That's why all new color guests complete a quick online consultation through SnapSnip before booking.

Here's how it works: you'll share a few photos of your hair as it is now and some inspiration shots of where you want to go. Those can be anything you love, a Pinterest save, an Instagram post, a photo from a previous color service that really worked for you.

From there, one of our team members reviews your SnapSnip to put together the right game plan: how much time to set aside, which stylist is the best fit, and a starting price estimate. Once that's done, our front desk will reach out to get you scheduled.

A new SnapSnip is also needed if it's been 6 or more months since your last color service, or if you're seeing a stylist you haven't consulted with before.
